Cacao Ceremonies - Facilitator Training: Cultivating Authentic Connection

My name is Vanessa Ellen, and my journey with creating Cacao ceremonies began in 2016 when I arrived in London from Central America. Drawing from my experiences assisting with Ayahuasca retreats and ceremonies, I crafted a two-hour ceremony centred around the sacred sacrament of Cacao.

To my delight, the ceremonies resonated deeply with attendees, leading to profound transformations. Witnessing individuals break down in tears and release suppressed pain during our sharing circles affirmed the immense healing potential of Cacao—a spirit medicine guiding us back to our hearts and reconnecting us with our divine essence.

I was struck by the overwhelming gratitude expressed by male participants, highlighting the need for non-judgmental spaces in our society amidst image-driven, alcohol-centric social norms. This realisation fuelled my vision of shifting societal norms towards genuine, authentic connection—a vision where Cacao ceremonies and healing events thrive on every corner, fostering true self-expression.

After years of facilitating ceremonies, I felt called to train others. Over the past eight years, I've trained over a thousand individuals in the art of ceremony. Witnessing the rise of Cacao ceremonies and the healing power of this sacred plant has been a profound blessing. Cacao is indeed heart medicine, offering humanity a path back to love and interconnectedness.

As we continue to create sacred spaces and unite communities through authentic connection and compassion, we embody our true selves fearlessly, with faith that our collective efforts will make the world a better place. Together, let us nurture a world where love and connection prevail.
