Voice Activation through Devotional Singing

Our relationship with our voice is a gateway to our relationship with our own heart. If we don’t like our voice, we are also rejecting a part of ourselves, and this is what needs healing or bringing back into balance.
Devotional singing can mean many things and is personal to each individual. So, the invitation is: What does this mean to you? What is devotion? How does this relate to love? And how does it relate to your expression of love in the world?
Can you use your voice to express your emotions? To be an extension of yourself and convey an emotional message?
Can you use your voice as a vehicle for transmission to channel that which is beyond your personal self?
Understanding that the voice is a mere instrument, and like all instruments, you can learn how to play it. In doing so, you free it.
As the Sufi saints say, all life is vibration and tone. By connecting to these vibrations and tones, we connect to the fullness of life. We can merge with life by offering our sound into it.
All humans are born able to sing; it is our very nature.
We have a great capacity to create sound. What gets in our way is us—our stories, our feelings of not being enough or being too much, our fear of judgment: What if others don’t like the sounds I’m making?
It can also go much deeper as our shadows interfere with our ability to fully be who we are. So, self-inquiry and doing the inner self-work are essential to liberating the throat chakra. It’s not only our singing that improves but all aspects of our ability to communicate.
Our voice is a powerful healing tool for ourselves and a gift to share with others.
